Original French M1866 Yataghan “Chassepot” needle-fire rifle sword bayonet, with original scabbard. I have included all photos of makers marks, stamps, and engravings that i could find. The top edge of the blade has a engraving that reads that the sword was made at Mutzig Arsenal in May “mai” of 1869. Overall in nice condition for its age with a very unique styling.
