WW2 Korean War US Army USGI M1 Garand Rifle Bayonet & Cutdown M7 Scabbard
This WW2 Korean War US Army USGI M1 Garand Rifle Bayonet & Cutdown M7 Scabbard is in good condition but does show signs of age and wear from service. The blade’s ricasso is clearly stamped with U. ” and the Ordnance Insignia as well as a “U. Stamp to denote production the Utica Cutlery Company after 1943. The blade has lost all of it’s original finish but still retains a clean, even edge. All other exposed metal surfaces have lost their original finish and it appears to have been a purposeful act. The black plastic grips are clean and free from obvious signs of abuse or neglect, but do show light signs of age and wear. The grip screw does not turn freely and has been left exactly as found. The lug release press stud moves freely and appears to function as intended though this bayonet has not been mounted. The M7 scabbard is clean though does have a crack that has been repaired with glue. Of note, this scabbard was originally produced as the longer M3 model but was cutdown to M7 specs during the War.
