Original WWI German Bayonet SG84/98aA old pattern which is a modified 71/84 bayonet, these arsenal modified bayonets were made by rehilting the 71/84 model so it would fit the new Gew98 and the Kar98AZ. Blade model with short fullers, blade with crown Fraktur proof on the spine as well as Crown W 88, this bayonet is scarce. The left ricosso is marked Alex Coppel Solingen. Complete with a Spanish leather scabbard with steel mounts which is just like the German scabbard except with softer leather. The crossguard is unit marked E. 2.115 which is for an Eisenbahn (Railway) battalion 2nd Company weapin # 115. The press stud functions perfectly. Overall condition is VG- for a German WWI bayonet.
