Vintage OKC3S Knife Bayonet Ontario Knife Company USMC Military Combat Tactical
US Marine Corps OKC3S Knife/Bayonet, example shown in photos for sale. These are a Genuine Issue Ontario Knife Company (OKC) Marine Bayonet carried by the Marines. Some scratches, smudges, has original military finish and original factory edge. These have the Marine Corp Fleet Marine Emblem, USMC stamped on handle with a number “2”. These are becoming scarce, the Ontario Knife Company Plant in Naples NY has been closed as of July 2023, employees laid off. Another manufacturing plant that has been around in the USA since 1898 closed! Important: These are genuine, have the stamped “OKC 3S Ontario Knife Co” on one side and “Combat USMC” on the other. The commercial reproductions and some imports fakes have screen painted lettering so keep your eye on the details. For display purposes will fit standard AR barrel length with standard birdcage flash hider, see last photos. These will not fit on your dad or grandfathers WWII rifle, shotguns, after market, custom flash hider etc. The Ontario Marine Bayonet knife features an 8 clip point blade made of proprietary carbon steel with a Rockwell hardness of 53-58. The blade dimensions are apprximately. 200 inches thick and 1 3/8″ wide, with a 1 3/4″ Serration section, sharpened top swedge, and non-reflective black phosphate coat. The brown Dynaflex rubber handle is ergonomically grooved to reduce hand fatigue, with a positioning access point for quick redirect of the blade position in reduced visibility situations. The handle has an oval indentation with USMC on one side, and the Marine Corps logo on the other. Overall length of the Marine Bayonet knife is 13 1/4, weight is 1.4 pounds. USM4 BAYONET FIGHTING KNIFE w M8A1 Scabbard EICKHORN SOLINGEN GERMANY
From the 1980’s. The bayonet and scabbard measures approx. 13.5 inches long and the blade measures approx 6 5/8 inches long. Scabbard stamped ” M8A1 ” as shown. I’ve seen several of these with and without the MADE IN W. Although not stamped, I’m pretty sure this was German Commercial made bayonet by A. What you see is what you get. French Model 1886 /91/16/35 Lebel Knife Bayonet & Scabbard June 4, 1945 Marked
French Model 1886/91/16/35 Lebel Rifle Bayonet. This is the shortened version of the original M1886 and measures 18″ OAL, with a cruciform blade of 13.5″. Blade is in excellent condition with the handle showing some black faded, scattered paint. Excellent working press-stud, dent free scabbard. Name and date marked by someone on the left side of handle. The Lebel Bayonet was very popular with the French Infantry, who called it, “Rosalie”. See our other Bayonets at TR-West.
Restoration Of A 105 Year Old Rusty Pocket Knife
Original US Military Issue Vietnam Era Colt USM7 Bayonet Knife with Scabbard J21
The knife is marked COLT62316 HARTFORD CONN. The Colt logo is stamped into the steel blade. This is early Vietnam Era. This is what would have been issued to US troops in the field in the early part 1966 1967 1968. The knife looks new old stock but does show some storage ware. The scabbard is the correct pebble grain scabbard that was issued with these early Colts. The scabbard is marked USM8A1. The scabbard shows storage ware. The scabbards must have been stored separate from the knifes. The knifes look great for their age. The scabbards must have gotten exposed to the elements because there are signs of rust and ware from long term storage on them as you can see in my pictures.. Please look at all my pictures.
