US Marine Corps OKC3S Knife/Bayonet, example shown in photos for sale. These are a Genuine Issue Ontario Knife Company (OKC) Marine Bayonet carried by the Marines. Some scratches, smudges, has original military finish and original factory edge. These have the Marine Corp Fleet Marine Emblem, USMC stamped on handle with a number “2”. These are becoming scarce, the Ontario Knife Company Plant in Naples NY has been closed as of July 2023, employees laid off. Another manufacturing plant that has been around in the USA since 1898 closed! Important: These are genuine, have the stamped “OKC 3S Ontario Knife Co” on one side and “Combat USMC” on the other. The commercial reproductions and some imports fakes have screen painted lettering so keep your eye on the details. For display purposes will fit standard AR barrel length with standard birdcage flash hider, see last photos. These will not fit on your dad or grandfathers WWII rifle, shotguns, after market, custom flash hider etc. The Ontario Marine Bayonet knife features an 8 clip point blade made of proprietary carbon steel with a Rockwell hardness of 53-58. The blade dimensions are apprximately. 200 inches thick and 1 3/8″ wide, with a 1 3/4″ Serration section, sharpened top swedge, and non-reflective black phosphate coat. The brown Dynaflex rubber handle is ergonomically grooved to reduce hand fatigue, with a positioning access point for quick redirect of the blade position in reduced visibility situations. The handle has an oval indentation with USMC on one side, and the Marine Corps logo on the other. Overall length of the Marine Bayonet knife is 13 1/4, weight is 1.4 pounds.
