WWII Japanese Type 30 Bayonet Straight Quillion Kife Wood handle TALW
This has a great look to it and has been kept in good vintage condition. There may be some scratching or surface wear from age which is to be expected. Please see all photos for details and feel free to ask any questions. The end of the handle looks to have been taped. This piece measures 20 long. WWII Type 30 Japanese Arisaka Bayonet With Metal Scabbard
Designed for the Imperial Japanese Army and produced by the Tokyo (Hohei Kosho) Arsenal. Stamped/engraved on the end of the hilt is a small Japanese character otherwise known as a kana placed inside a circle which tells us this piece is from series 35. Beside this symbol is serial number 4953. Blade finish-Bright with fullers. Grip shape-Contoured with screw. (The metal scabbard was discontinued in 1942).
WWI Or WWII German Made K98 For Export Spain Or Portuguese Knife
WWII or earlier german made k98 bayonet made for export most likely to Spain or Portugal only marked 664 on both sides of the tang. Wood grips are secured with two steel rivets. Originally, this was one of the S84/98 III bayonets that were sent to Spain for filling the first contract that Germany had with Spain for bayonets in the early 30s. The script “O” on the bottom of blade ricasso denotes it as such. Coming from the factory it was finished in the white (no bluing), devoid of all stamps and marks, except for the script “O” and there was no flash guard. The original scabbard issued with this bayonet would have been identical to one that was issued with an S84/98 III, except devoid of all stamps and marks. The grips look to be homemade replacements. The blade is in very good condition considering these bayonet were really used and abused by the Spanish army, usually sharpened to heck and rusty. Thanks you know who you are.
WWII German M84 K98 Mauser Bayonet withScabbard & Frog Match #190 1939
WWII German Mauser M1884/98 Bayonet with Scabbard and Frog. Ricasso is marked “190” on one side, the reverse is F. Holler”, and the spine has a “39 for 1939. The brown/black grips have some scratches/nicks. The blade has 97% of the finish, unsharpened, no nicks, it is tight, and straight. The pommel has a double Waffenampt mark “WaA253″. Lock button is functional and Waffenampt marked. The flashguard area has two more Waffenampt marks and there is one on the underside of the crossguard. The scabbard has “190” on the frontside and on the backside is F. The scabbard is solid with a couple small dents/dings, has a few scratches, the ball finial is Waffenampt marked, and the throat screw is missing. The leather frog shows typical wear, “B” marked on backside, the stitching is tight, no tears, and there is some surface leather loss scattered throughout. Length of the blade measures 9 7/8″ (1″ wide x 3/16″ thick spine), length of the bayonet is 15 1/8″, and in the scabbard it is 15 15/16. The frog alone is 9. Check out my other War items!! US 1943 WWII Bayonet AFH Flaming Bomb 9 3/4 Blade With Scabbard For M1 Garand
An original WWII US M1 9 3/4 Garand bayonet manufactured by American Fork and Hoe A. With US and Ordnance military flaming cannonball. With a black molded plastic handle. The scabbard is the correct M7 (briefly termed the M3A1). Scabbard also has the US and Ordnance military flaming cannonball marking. Both Bayonet and Scabbard show signs of wear from use in action. Marked and date: A. This is an original 9 3/4 blade made during 1943 and 1944. Army decided to shorten the M1905 bayonet’s blade to 9 3/4 inches (25.4 cm). Production of this new bayonet, designated the M1, began at five manufacturers by April 1943. In 1943 most of the M1905 bayonets already in service were recalled, their blades were cut down, and they were reissued; roughly 1 million bayonets underwent this process. The first shortened bayonets were delivered in September 1943, and deliveries continued at a rate of 40-50,000 per month until August 1945. All ten-inch bladed bayonets, whether new production M1 or cut-down M1905, were officially referred to as M1 bayonets, and the Army made no distinction between the two when issuing them.
