Portuguese Model 1904 Bayonet measuring 15.5″ OAL with a blade length of 11.25″. Excellent blade with over 95% original bluing, some light scabbard wear. The photos of the blade are just a reflection/shine. The Scabbard shows faded finish on it with some light age patina and is dent free. The Wood shows some wear, scratches, small dings. Pommel and guard shows some age patina, faded finish, excellent working press-stud. Ricasso area of blade is stamped, SIMSON & CO. These bayonets were made in Germany and were made to fit the Verguero Rifle and are of standard European design. Serial no on pommel right side is 2270. See photos for further details.
