M1912 WWI CE WG Chile Chilean Mauser Bayonet Knife & Scabbard & Frog. Chilean Knife bayonet for use on the 7 mm. M1912 Mauser rifles and carbines produced for Chile by the Austrian firm Oesterreichsche Waffenfabrik-Gesellschaft of Steyr. This bayonet also mounts to the Chilean M1935 carbine. The M1912 rifle was based on the German Gewehr 98, so the existing M1895 bayonets would not work with the M1912 rifle. Blade Length – 10. Overall Length – 15. Muzzle Ring Diameter. Ricasso (Right): Chilean crest. Ricasso (Left): “OE” over “W G”. Please look at photos for condition! If you have been following my listings, you know for the last few months I have been pulling things out of a warehouse and several large buildings from a collector/enthusiasts that was with the 173rd Airborne Brigade and stationed in Germany after the Vietnam war. Thanks for reading this far, now I have our usual information below. Everything I have been listing for the last 3 months has come from 1 owner. These items came to West Virginia from Germany in 1990 when the Veteran retired. Please look at the photos as they are the description. We make every effort to write an accurate listing and provide clear pictures to help you shop. Good luck and have FUN!

The M1941 bayonet was designed as a replacement for the M1907 Artillery Bolo. The Machete Bayoneta Modelo 1941, retains the M1907 Artillery Bolo’s blade profile and heavy crosspiece but with a shorter blade this is an amazing piece of history that appears to have seen action.
The slightest light dent to scabbard back. The Rubberized canvas is stiff and not pliable. The frog has delaminated a little which can happen with items made of this material. Has some sort of small wood or bone charm attached to a string.
