WWI US ARMY M1905 M1903 SPRINGFIELD WINCHESTER RIFLE BAYONET & CARRY SCABBARD. The M-1905 Bayonet was adopted by the US military as a knife bayonet for the Model 1903 Rifle after it was determined necessary for the “modern” trench warfare of the early 1900s. Once the bayonet was officially adopted, production began at both the Springfield Armory and the Rock Island Arsenal. The Rock Island Arsenal produced just under 1/2 million total bayonets and this low run means originals are scarce today. Ours replicates an original issue 1906 (first year of production for RIA) of the famed bayonet expertly. The early bayonets had bright blades and blued hilts and were marked on the ricasso “RIA 1906″, which our replica faithfully shows. The M-1905 Bayonet is the core of many bayonet collections and are highly sought after, but they are extremely scarce today. Replicated using an original for authenticity and employing the same materials, this is a collector grade reproduction. Includes early spec scabbard of wood covered in canvas with metal throat and standard canvas Krag-style hanger.

This WW2 Korean War US Army USGI M1 Garand Rifle Bayonet & Cutdown M7 Scabbard is in good condition but does show signs of age and wear from service. The blade’s ricasso is clearly stamped with U. ” and the Ordnance Insignia as well as a “U. Stamp to denote production the Utica Cutlery Company after 1943. The blade has lost all of it’s original finish but still retains a clean, even edge. All other exposed metal surfaces have lost their original finish and it appears to have been a purposeful act. The black plastic grips are clean and free from obvious signs of abuse or neglect, but do show light signs of age and wear. The grip screw does not turn freely and has been left exactly as found. The lug release press stud moves freely and appears to function as intended though this bayonet has not been mounted. The M7 scabbard is clean though does have a crack that has been repaired with glue. Of note, this scabbard was originally produced as the longer M3 model but was cutdown to M7 specs during the War. Please examine the photographs carefully for the best description of contents and condition. You are responsible for knowing the laws that apply to your area and obeying them.

WWI GERMAN G98 RIFLE M1898 “BUTCHER” BAYONET SCABBARD. WWI GERMAN M1898 “BUTCHER” BAYONET & SCABBARD. Each federal state had its own preferences concerning equipment at the turn of the century. This was also the case with bayonets, called “Seitengewehr” in German, which means protection arm to be carried at the side of the body. The German bayonets were influenced by the French when they adopted bayonets. The basic rifle at the outbreak of the Great War 1914 was Mauser M1898. It was important for the Military to have equal length of rifle including bayonet as the main enemy – the French. The result was a long slender bayonet M1898.
