Antique French Model 1874 Rifle Bayonet measuring 25-1/2″ long overall with a T-Square blade length of 20-1/2″. Blade in excellent overall condition with St. Etienne Arsenal 1878 markings on the top of blade spine. Very good working press-stud mechanism, the hooked quillon shows scattered pitting, along with the scabbard. Serial no’s match on scabbard and on the bayonet, “N 98530″.
