WWII German 84/98 III 98k Bayonet S/178G (Heller 1935) Matching #94
Original WWII German 84/98 III 98k bayonet S/178G (Heller) 1935 #7137g with a matching scabbard. The blade is unsharpened and is in ecellent condition with in and out and scabbard spring wear. The pommel has much of the blue remaining with some patina and light pitting, the press stud functions fine and the wood grips are in nice shape, with a crease by the crossguard. The pommel also has 2 WaA220 proofs. The crossguard has some blue, patina, and light pitting. The flashguard has a few debts and pitting. The scabbard is dent free and has most of the blue is missing and also with some pitting and is marked on the reverse S/178G. I have taken a picture of the serial number on the front of the scabbard which matches the bayonet and also pictures of the reverse with the maker marks. Be sure to look at all of the pictures for a visual description. Part of an old collection, please check out the other bayonets.
